Job summaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Financial Business Analyst with at least 5 years of experience in evaluating and analyzing financial performance and business operations. This role is critical in driving financial insights while also identifying gaps, inefficiencies, and areas of improvement across our business and operational processes.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, tech-savvy, and has strong financial modeling and analytical skills, with a background in Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) and/or health-tech industries. The Financial Business Analyst will partner with leadership and cross-functional teams to deliver financial analysis, develop strategies, and recommend data-driven solutions that support operational efficiency and sustainable growth.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct in-depth financial analysis, including modeling, budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and ROI assessments.
- Evaluate and analyze business and financial operations to identify risks, gaps, and opportunities for efficiency and growth.
- Develop, monitor, and interpret financial and operational performance metrics, KPIs, and dashboards.
- Partner with leadership to design and implement process improvements that drive financial and operational scalability.
- Support strategic decision-making by assessing the financial impact of business initiatives across Product, Sales, and Operations.
- Research industry trends, benchmarks, and best practices in SaaS and health-tech to inform financial and business recommendations.
- Prepare clear, concise financial reports and presentations that communicate actionable insights to stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with financial standards, policies, and internal controls.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field (MBA or advanced degree preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Financial Analyst, Business Analyst, or in a hybrid role combining both.
- Proven ability to perform financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting at a high level.
- Experience analyzing and improving business processes, with a strong understanding of operational inefficiencies.
- Background in SaaS or health-tech industries preferred.
- Proficiency with BI and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Looker).
- Advanced skills in Excel, with experience in accounting/finance platforms such as QuickBooks, Xero, and SQL-based analysis.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
- Critical thinker and problem-solver who thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

About the job
This position is needed to provide actionable insights into strategic operations initiatives through the application of your expertise in quantitative analysis, technical systems, and leadership in analytics.
Twilio’s Customer Experience Ops Customer Intelligence team is looking for a curious and action-oriented analyst with a passion for using data to influence decision making and deliver product insights. The ideal candidate is comfortable navigating complex problems, determining the right data to focus on and is able to derive insights and recommendations based on disparate data. This role interacts with stakeholders at all levels throughout the organization and helps inform product, compliance, and delivery strategy.
Responsibilities
In this role, you’ll:
- Work with technical program managers to inject data into decision making and planning to increase confidence in strategic business outcomes via defining OKRs, designing and building insight generating reports and dashboards, and partnering cross functionally to source and process product data.
- Leverage SQL programming skills and data visualization tools to communicate product insights and recommendations to stakeholders at all levels. Standardize, maintain, and document metrics, models, datasets, and dashboards leveraging tools such as Tableau, Confluence, Acryl, and code.
- Source, identify, and leverage data and insights for time-critical and strategic decision making.

Required:
- 3-5 years of professional experience performing quantitative analysis, building dashboards and reports, working with business partners to convert ambiguous, messy data into tangible and actionable results that influence product and business impacting decisions in a fast paced industry.
- Ability to think strategically and initiate, refine, and complete projects with minimal guidance in an often ambiguous environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient level experience writing, developing, and performing data deep dives and writing complex queries in SQL and SQL-like relational data languages
- Minimum 2 years Tableau experience developing and managing dashboards is required.
- Demonstrated ability in building reports, metrics, dashboards, etc. for analytics projects that often require data preparation processes such as data extraction, cleansing, mapping, loading and operationalizing workflows in production.
- Experience in telephony, email, messaging, social media, or other electronic communications is a plus.
- Experience or familiarity with data warehousing and/or ETL processes, and distributed computing technologies (Hive/Presto/Spark/Zeppelin) is a plus.
- Experience in BI reporting tools like Looker is a plus.
- Experience with unstructured data is a plus.

About the job
This role supports Twilio’s Customer Experience (CX) team by championing the Voice of Customer (VoC) program, including NPS and feedback across the customer journey. The CX Ops team ensures supportability, drives insights through data and KPIs, optimizes processes with AI, manages workforce planning, and enhances quality via coaching and feedback. The Business Intelligence Analyst will play a key role in leveraging data to improve satisfaction, loyalty, and customer outcomes.
Responsibilities
In this role, you’ll:
- Utilize qualitative and quantitative data to determine root causes for gaps in customer expectations and actual experiences
- Deliver actionable, scalable recommendations (e.g. people/org, process, infrastructure) to improve the end-to-end experience for customers in a monthly status update and in quarterly reporting
- Represent Voice of Customer to assist internal teams with prioritization and decision-making
- Interact extensively across the Communications BU, including engineering, product, program, analytics, and systems teams
- Develop relationships with upstream and downstream teams to ensure awareness, gather input, and tell an accurate/holistic story

Required:
- Demonstrated proficiency in performing broad quantitative and qualitative analyses and familiarity with operational teams & key operational metrics
- Leads the design and execution of medium to large projects with feedback from other analysts
- Proven experience in working with business units to identify underlying root causes, and facilitating change management practices to improve business outcomes
- Understanding customer trends, analyzing patterns, driving betterments and reporting what you observe to the management team in order to better improve our support process
- General understanding and comfort working with Language Models (LLMs) such as OpenAI’s ChatGPT
- Experience with BI/reporting tools: Tableau, Looker, and Presto
- Outstanding troubleshooting, critical thinking, and analytical skills
- Develop solutions for complex problems both independently and in collaboration with team members
- Works with other teams to troubleshoot/determine resolution for complex issues across team domains
- Scope ideas down to well-known and well understood parts
- Prioritizes team success and nurtures peer development through empowerment and accountability by modeling, coaching, and caring
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Ability to take an organized and logical approach towards thinking through problems, break down complex issues into manageable parts and look beyond the obvious to get at root causes.
- Ability to coordinate plans and process improvement strategies with internal stakeholders.
- Ability to stand in the customer’s shoes and empathize with the customer experience
- Ability and desire to pick up new technologies in a rapidly changing environment
