About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Front-End Engineer to join the Zoe team at our office in Bogotá (Zona Chico). We are looking for a highly motivated individual with a strong background in JavaScript Software development and a passion for building robust systems from scratch. As a Front-End Engineer, you will thrive in a fast-paced environment and excel at taking ownership of projects from inception to completion.
Our ideal candidate will understand how to develop user interfaces for consumers, wants to constantly improve the codebase and the product, and wants to enable others to do their job more effectively. The candidate will care deeply about maintaining code and improving software engineering for those around them. Using JavaScript, HTML, and CSS, this candidate will be able to translate user and business needs into robust and functional Front-End designs.

Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the product team to develop and implement web applications using modern Front-End technologies.
- Participate in the entire software development lifecycle, including estimation, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
- Develop and maintain new user-facing features.
- Translate UI/UX designs into high-quality code, ensuring stability, performance, responsiveness, and cross-browser compatibility.
- Ensure scalability by providing constructive feedback, contributing to code reviews, unit testing, performance tuning, and best practices.
- Take ownership of projects, from initial concept to final delivery.
- Build reusable components, libraries, and micro‑front‑end experiences for multiple types of clients.
- Work closely with UI/UX designers and Back-End developers to ensure seamless integration of Front-End and Back-End components.
- Have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a daily release cycle.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience implementing modern front-end applications using JavaScript.
- Strong understanding of modern JavaScript frameworks and libraries, and the ability to apply them effectively.
- Proficient in coding web markup languages, including HTML5 and CSS3.
- 2+ years using React JS.
- 1+ year using Next.js
- Proficiency with version control systems (Git) and collaborative development workflows.
- Experience setting up development environment tools (compilers, pre-processors, linters, etc).
- Self-motivated with a passion for problem-solving and a desire to stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in verbal and written English.

- 3+ years of experience working with frontend technologies.
- Strong experience in VTEX IO development (FastStore experience is a plus).
- Hands-on experience with SASS or LESS .
- Familiarity with Node.js and object-oriented programming concepts.
- Experience in responsive development and best practices.
- Proficiency with build tools like npm, Webpack, and Gulp .
- Experience working with GraphQL and RESTful APIs .
- Knowledge of source control management using Git
- Basic understanding of technical SEO principles .
- Experience working in Scrum environments.
- Upper-Intermediate English level (B2 or higher).
- Experience with Next.js .
- Familiarity with functional programming concepts.
- Experience working with e-commerce platforms , particularly VTEX.
- Knowledge of testing frameworks such as Mocha, Jasmine, or Jest.
- Experience with state management libraries (Redux, MobX, or similar).
- Understanding of Server-Side Rendering (SSR) methods and Headless CMS solutions .

- Degree in Computer Science or relevant field.
- 3+ years proven work experience as a Front-end developer.
- In-depth understanding of the entire web development process (design, development, and deployment).
