Manual QA Tester

General Description

We are looking for a
detail-oriented Manual QA Tester
with strong knowledge of
ISTQB-aligned testing principles
. You will ensure the quality of
web and mobile applications
by executing test cases, identifying defects, and collaborating with developers and stakeholders to deliver reliable software.

Responsibilities

  • Review requirements and specifications to ensure testability.
  • Design and execute
    manual test cases
    for web and mobile (iOS/Android).
  • Apply ISTQB techniques: equivalence partitioning, boundary value analysis, exploratory testing.
  • Perform different levels of testing: functional, regression, integration, acceptance, usability.
  • Log and track defects using tools like
    Jira
    or
    Azure DevOps
    .
  • Collaborate with developers and product owners to clarify requirements.
  • Execute
    cross-browser and cross-device testing
    .
  • Contribute to test planning, reporting, and process improvement.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of QA testing experience
    (web & mobile).
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
  • Knowledge of
    SDLC/STLC
    and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Strong
    English communication skills
    (written & verbal).
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with
    test management and defect tracking tools
    (e.g., Zephyr, TestRail, Jira).
  • Experience with BrowserStack/Sauce Labs or real device testing.
  • Basic SQL and API validation knowledge is a plus.

The role will work on an amazing team of engineers to continue building out products to meet our retailers' digital needs.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage testing for a complex feature set within a core team, and through cooperation with other teams
  • Provide manual testing assistance as required
  • Create test plans
  • Coordinate with other test engineers to confirm necessary coverage across the organization
  • Respond to production issues and help release hot-fixes for such issues
  • Recommend and enact process changes or infrastructure improvements to address common causes of test failures
  • Provide input on functional design
  • Manage nearshore and offshore testing as necessary
Qualifications:
  • QA test automation experience
  • Knowledge of GIT basics
  • Experience working in an Agile environment
  • Strong debugging skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with other software engineers within the team
  • Solid verbal and written communication skills
  • Bonus: Experience working with major DevOps platforms and pipeline automations such as Github, GitLab, Azure DevOps, Bitbucket, etc.
