Location: Bogota, Colombia. As a specialist in HIS applications, you will play a key role in the implementation, configuration, and support of Hospital Information Systems (HIS). Collaborating with healthcare professionals, IT teams, and end users, you will ensure efficient use of HIS applications to improve patient care, workflow, and operational excellence. You will become a product expert, advising clients on the best solutions and guiding them to implement the standard solution effectively. Your role includes minimizing client-specific work, staying up-to-date with product developments, and liaising with various departments. The position requires regular client site visits and potential travel up to five days a week. You will follow the latest version of the ARIES Implementation Methodology, updated periodically as part of a continuous improvement culture.
Key Responsibilities- Discovery: Review proposal and bidding documentation, analyze client processes, identify needs and pain points, and present proposed solutions to clients.
- Launch: Advise clients on how adopting InterSystems' solution can improve their processes and propose solutions by mapping existing product components, minimizing deviations from standard product lines.
- Configuration: Set up client configurations, create validation scripts, participate in system and data validation, address client issues, document incidents, collaborate on applying fixes, and produce high-quality project documentation.
- Adoption: Participate in Go Live simulations, prepare training materials, conduct individual and group training, and support clients during go-live.
- Maintenance: Collaborate with departments to resolve issues, hand over to support, analyze lessons learned, optimize HIS applications, and work on updates, patches, and new features.
- Ongoing Responsibilities: Analyze client processes, advise on adopting InterSystems' solution, support colleagues, maintain consistent documentation, and study new features in TrakCare. Ensure proper data collection and manage configuration changes.
- At least 3 years of experience in the healthcare industry with solid knowledge of workflows, standards, and regulatory requirements in both public and private healthcare sectors.
- Proven experience in implementing and supporting hospital information systems.
- Proficiency in HIS applications, including customization and configuration.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to identify and resolve technical issues.
- Experience in end-user training and providing ongoing support.
- Knowledge of data management, security, and confidentiality considerations in healthcare.
- Experience in communicating with key stakeholders at different levels within healthcare organizations, both public and/or private sector companies.

In this role, your responsibilities will be
· Develop and support the execution of the strategic growth plan for the FLEXIM business unit in Colombia.
· Direct sales to defined customers – defined region.
· Provide formal and informal technical advice in the field by performing demonstration and feasibility measurements, as well as specific consultations as a specialist expert to work teams for commissioning services and similar.
· Attend technical emergency requests for measurement and/or equipment installation with immediate response, exclusively when the request involves the sale of equipment.
· Develop internal technical and commercial training sessions at Emerson for internal and external sales teams, service, proposals, engineering, and similar.
· Influence technical specifications to maximize the content of flow products and solutions.
· Provide competitive and superior technical solutions to customers.
· Work closely with the BDM and Marketing team to identify and develop new business opportunities for products and solutions.
· Develop technical solution presentations for Flow/FLEXIM products and solutions for both the commercial area and customers.
· Conduct seminars for customers and industrial groups as needed throughout the national territory and/or LAM.
· Establish face-to-face contact with key customers and new customers to build a solid relationship; obtain key sales-related information, understand their needs, and analyze their concerns, plans, and purchasing criteria.
· Analyze customer process requirements to select the products and solutions that best fit their needs, balancing the proposed technical solution with the commercial one.
· Drive the development of VIP solutions that maximize the content of Flow-FLEXIM products.
· Provide support and follow-up on FLEXIM solution quotations, assisting in the selection and sizing of instruments when necessary.
· Develop knowledge of the competitive situation and the technical capabilities of the products.
· Establish and cultivate new potential customers.
· Lead efforts to create and document a portfolio of successful applications and quantify commercial results. Coordinate efforts with the BU sales and marketing area as necessary.
· Keep opportunities updated in CRM.
· Attend all mandatory training provided by the company, such as those related to Trade Compliance and all topics related to legal and/or corporate compliance, and may also be a reference in these topics if required.

Responsibilities- Draft online and hard copy state pharmaceutical applications;
- Review signed applications for accuracy and completion;
- Review outgoing and incoming physical mail (electronically if working remote);
- Address deficiencies highlighted by the Board on behalf of customer;

- Maintain document repository of customer supporting documents, applications and deficiency correspondence;

The role of a Business Application Specialist is crucial in ensuring that software applications function effectively, supporting business operations and enabling user productivity. This position requires strong technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and a customer-focused approach to deliver high-quality support and continuous improvement of applications.
Position Responsibiltiies
- Provide frontline support for software applications, diagnosing and resolving technical issues reported by end-users.
- Track and manage incidents using a ticketing system, ensuring timely resolution and communication with stakeholders.
- Monitor application performance and system health, proactively identifying potential issues and addressing them before they impact users.
- Create and maintain detailed documentation for application configurations, standard operating procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
- Develop and deliver training sessions for end-users to help them effectively use applications and understand any new features or updates.
- Work closely with development teams, system administrators, and other IT professionals to ensure seamless integration and operation of applications.
- Assist with application upgrades, patches, and regular maintenance tasks to ensure optimal performance and security.
- Perform root cause analysis for recurring issues and implement long-term solutions to prevent future occurrences.
