What we are looking for
We're looking for a design-focused engineer to craft exceptional, user-centric interfaces using HTML, CSS, and Javascript. This is an interface first role working in our Ruby on Rails codebase, where your primary responsibility will be building clean, responsive and accessible interfaces and experiences that empower our customers and our internal teams.
Collaborating closely with our product team and pairing with a Rails engineer, you’ll bring designs, features and products to life following our 6-week cycle Shape Up process.
You are
You're experienced with the modern web, and you're able to write HTML, CSS, and Javascript
You may lack direct experience with Rails, but you're comfortable working alongside it to apply your designs to implemented code with oversight and feedback
You're comfortable with using design software tools like Figma to accomplish simple tasks
You have good visual taste and design sensibilities, but may sometimes require support from a senior designer
You care about creating accessible, intuitive, and visually appealing interfaces and have a high attention to these details
You are able to run and own small-batch projects (2-weeks) from concept to delivery alongside a backend engineer.
You will
Work on our customer facing website and our internal backoffice web apps to enable our kitchen and operation teams to serve our customers high quality and healthy meals
Identify and implement improvements to user experience, accessibility, performance and code quality across our interfaces
Work on projects within 6-week cycles to design and build new features, and improve existing functionality
Document and build out our internal design system, components, and base stylesheets as changes are made
Communicate what you’re working on in team calls, and async updates

About The Role
We are looking for dynamic and experienced Design Engineers to support ongoing design development of several luxury projects worldwide focusing on boutique hospitality assets.
This role requires a creative and technical professional who can deliver efficient and innovative engineering solutions while maintaining the aesthetic and functional standards expected in luxury developments.
In this role, you will be responsible for design development of luxury villas and boutique hotels engineering systems. You should be able to work independently throughout the day, coordinate with the team when needed, and deliver intermediate results weekly. You will report to a MEP design manager, but collaborate with the entire design team, including but not limited to architects, interior designers, structural engineers, the FF&E procurement team, and client representatives.
To succeed in this role, you should have excellent communication and presentation skills, be punctual, detail-oriented, self-organized, and motivated to deliver quality results.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
- Degree in Civil or Building Engineering with a concentration in HVAC and mechanical systems
- Between 5 to 10 years of engineering design experience working for a design consultancy or a general contractor
- Experience in high-end hospitality projects, like 5-star hotels and private villas
- Design engineering systems for luxury villas and boutique hotels, ensuring compliance with local building codes and industry standards
- Collaborate closely with architects, interior designers, and other engineers to integrate systems seamlessly into the overall project
- Proactively participate in spatial coordination with architectural and structural model, research efficient methodologies, equipment, systems to secure the initial design intent and high-end user experience
- Timely resolve technical issues and challenges during the design phase
- Lead the development of detailed drawings, technical documentation, and system specifications using CAD and BIM tools, with the support of BIM modelers
- Perform load calculations, energy modeling, and system sizing to optimize performance and energy efficiency
- Oversee equipment selection, ensuring it aligns with project requirements and sustainability goals
- Provide input during value engineering discussions to achieve the best balance between cost, quality, and performance
- Supervise the design development, review and approve deliverables of third party designers, consultants, surveyors
- Stay updated on the latest technologies, trends, and regulations related to HVAC systems in the luxury and hospitality sectors

- 8 to 15 years of experience in design consultancy or general contractor
- Experience working on low-rise residential and hospitality projects - private homes and villas, hotels and resorts

**Job Description**
**Position Overview:**
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Roadway Geometric Design Engineer to join our Linear Infrastructure and Site Civils Team in Bogotá D.C. This role is critical to strengthening our technical delivery capabilities from our enterprise design center in Colombia. The successful candidate will lead and contribute to a wide range of highway, urban road, and airport infrastructure projects, focusing on advanced geometric design solutions from conceptual development through detailed design stages.
**The responsibilities include but are not limited to:**
+ Lead and develop geometric designs for highways, urban roads, and airport projects from conceptual phase through detailed design.
+ Perform designs for earthworks, platforms, and horizontal and vertical traffic signage.
+ Model road corridors, airport platforms, runways, taxiways, and terrain surfaces using Autodesk Civil 3D.
+ Interpret, justify, and implement traffic, road capacity, and road safety studies in the proposed geometric designs.
+ Prepare design reports, technical documentation, specifications, and quantity take-offs.
+ Ensure that designs comply with local and international standards as well as internal quality protocols.
+ Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (drainage, structures, lighting, pavements, etc.).
+ Participate in technical meetings with clients and authorities for design validation and approval.
+ Conduct interdisciplinary reviews of deliverables, ensuring technical consistency and schedule compliance.
+ Supervise and provide technical support to CAD designers and modelers within the project team.
**Qualifications**
**Minimum Requirements:**
+ Bachelor´s degree in Civil Engineering, Surveying Engineering, Transportation Engineering, or related fields, with + 6 YORE or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education of proven experience in geometric roadway design, including highways.
+ Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D (required).
+ Demonstrated experience in delivering designs up to detailed construction documentation level.
+ Knowledge of AASHTO standards and/or local roadway and airport design regulations.
+ Technical management and leadership skills for geometric design activities.
+ Intermediate or higher level of technical English (for reading standards and specifications).
+ Valid professional engineering license.
**Additional Information**
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Experience in the design of complex intersections, access ramps, runways, taxiways, and airside platforms.
+ Participation in road safety audits or coordination of complementary elements (drainage, barriers, landscaping).
+ Proficiency in additional modeling software such as InfraWorks, Navisworks, Istram, MicroStation, or OpenRoads Designer.
+ Knowledge of Autodesk Subassembly Composer, Dynamo.
+ Ability to lead technical proposals and support bidding processes.
+ Specialization or master's degree in Geometric Roadway Design, Transportation, or Road Infrastructure.

Job Description
What are your contributions to the team?
- Design, specify, test, validate and release Propulsion Systems components for assigned vehicle families.
- Analyze and solve parts-related failures; propose, validate and obtain cost reductions.
- Document changes or modifications to components (Change Notices).
- Request and authorize testing to validate compliance with Design Requirements (DVP&R).
- Evaluate requests for component functional testing in assembly plants (Production Evaluation Request).
- Release temporary approvals for part validation (Interim Approval Authorization).
- Analyze and solve functional and durability failures (Customer Problem Resolution Team, Quality Alerts, etc.).
- Develop parts with suppliers according to the Source Package process.
- Support Assembly Plants with specifications and design changes.
- Use hardware/software tools to create and modify designs; attend training and development programs.
- Standardize and benchmark components.
- Create FMEA documents.
- Approve/reject Temporary Substitution documents.
- Request prototype parts to solve warranty issues.
- Create cost reduction proposals.
- Obtain product change information, implementation dates, bulletins, standards, BOMs, and engineering graphs.
- Create and approve Tool Kick Off (TKO) requests.
- Verify manufacturing process before mass production release.
- Request and obtain concurrencies on validations and deviations.
- Coordinate DFMEAs and PFMEAs with suppliers.
- Support Pilot and Pre-series events in Assembly Plants.
- Design parts in NX Software (2D & 3D).
- Electronic modules support brackets.
- Accessories components for Internal Combustion Engine / Electric Motor / Power Electronics.
- Internal and surrounding components for Internal Combustion Engine / Electric Motor / Power Electronics.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Mechatronics, Automotive, Electric, Electro-mechanical, etc).
- Preferably 3–5 years of experience in the automotive industry as a Product Engineer or in product development.
- Solid knowledge of automotive vehicles and systems, assembly and manufacturing, part validations.
- Knowledge in Internal Combustion Engines, thermodynamics, statistics, testing, validation, and failure solving.

Uptalent is seeking a talented and experienced Civil Engineer with expertise in Water Resources Design to join our team. As a Civil Engineer at Uptalent, you will work on exciting projects for some of the most innovative companies in the world. You will use your expertise to design and implement water resources systems for clients across various industries.
Responsibilities
- Design and modeling of water resources systems and infrastructure for clients
- Provide expert analysis, design, and consultation for water resources projects
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, policies, and U.S standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to achieve project goals
- Continuously improve and refine water resources designs and systems
- 1) Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in water resources project design and implementation
- Expertise in water resources system design and management
- 2) Technical skills:
- AutoCAD Civil3D experience with plan and profile work, pipe networks and general understanding of earthwork and grading (AutoCAD surfaces)
- Sewer Linear work & pump station design experience
- Stormwater modeling experience not mandatory but appreciated
- Hydrology and hydraulics experience is a plus.
- Sample programs may include: Hec-Ras, Hydraflow, Hec-HMS, SWMM

REQUIREMENT- Must be a US Citizen and must pass a federal background review and drug screen
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Serves as technical expert and advisor for control of civil and structural systems and related steel and welding features for federal construction projects.
- Performs advisory, consulting and review duties involving civil / structural systems problems or non-compliance.
- Review contract documents, including plans and specifications, during design for constructability, non-compliance, issue identification and contract clarity.
- Participates in all phases of the contract modification process. Assists in preparation of scopes of work for RFP's, assists in preparation of government estimates, assists with review of contractor's proposals, and prepares contract modification documentation.
- Will assist with steel and welding inspections, quality assurance, contract administration and providing technical expertise.
- Documents reviews and analyzes contractor plans and technical submittals for approvalaction, including progress schedules, environmental, safety and quality control programs, certifications and shop drawings. Provides comments.
- Prepares correspondence regarding Contractor performance, Requests for Equitable Adjustments (REAs), Requests for Information (RFIs) and other technical issues
- Prepares both partial and final payment estimates including the measurement and computation of pay item quantities, verification of materials on hand, and percentage complete of lump sum items.
- Demonstrated steel and steel connection experience.
- Experience in weld design and compliance review in reviewing plans, submittals, RFIs and field inspections.
- Non-destructive inspection (NDI) experience.
- AISC certification.
- Monitors and documents scheduled progress of all construction activities and phases of construction and advises the Resident Engineer, COR, and project team of potential slippage or delay.
- Participates and executes RFI and Submittal reviews, including coordination with the designers, RE, and technical experts and executes responses to the contractor.
- Review and provide technical assistance with HEMP Shielding, Radio Frequency (RF) Shield and ICD 705 construction requirements. Document review and interface with Designer of Record for technical changes or questions.
- Logs and maintains data as necessary to assist with project management and decision making.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, preferably in Structural Engineering
- Current Professional Engineer license within the State of Wyoming
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience as structural engineer on large complex multimillion dollar federal construction projects, preferably USACE and/or Department of Defense
- Non-destructive inspection (NDI) experience.
- AISC certification.
- Experience withRadio Frequency (RF) Shield and ICD 705 construction requirements.
- Knowledge of and experience with High Altitude Electromagnetic Pulse (HEMP) design and construction requirements preferred.
