Our SQL Server Database Developers/Administrators are responsible for the design, implementation, configuration, maintenance, and optimization of critical SQL Server RDBMS systems. The main goal is to ensure the availability, security, scalability, and consistent performance of our corporate applications and data platforms.
This role offers the opportunity to work on challenging projects, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute directly to the efficiency and innovation of our technology solutions.

- Monitor database health and performance, ensuring high levels of availability, reliability, and security.
- Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve database issues in real time.
- Refine and automate recurring processes, track issues, and document changes.
- Write efficient and reusable SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and triggers.
- Provide guidance and assistance to developers with query optimization, indexing, and schema refinement.
- Optimize database performance through indexing, query tuning, and schema refinement.
- Create and maintain data models aligned with application specifications and business needs.
- Ensure data integrity, security, and availability across environments.
- Support development teams with database integration in applications and services.
- Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues in development, testing, and production environments.
- Assist with deployment activities, database migrations, and post-release support.
- Maintain documentation of database schemas, procedures, and standards.
- Perform post-release and post-implementation reviews to ensure database reliability and scalability.
- Provide 24/7 support for critical production systems when required.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (QA, DevOps, Product Owners) throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Minimum 4 years of experience as a Database Developer or Database Administrator.
- Strong expertise in SQL Server and Azure SQL Database (other RDBMS experience is a plus: PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle).
- Solid knowledge of database design, normalization, and data modeling.
- Hands-on experience writing queries, stored procedures, functions, and triggers.
- Proficiency in performance tuning, query optimization, and indexing strategies.
- Experience in database security, roles, permissions, and encryption.
- Familiarity with ETL processes and data integration between systems.
- Experience in Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and tools like Azure DevOps or Jira.
- Knowledge of backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies.
- Ability to support both front-end and back-end data requirements.
- Demonstrated expertise in continuous integration/delivery (CI/CD) for databases.
- Knowledge of cloud development and deployment (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
- Exposure to automation tools for database testing, migration, and monitoring.
- Familiarity with test-driven development (TDD) in database context.
- Experience with NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra, etc.).
- Experience with data warehousing and BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Snowflake).
- English Level: Upper intermediate to advanced.
- Understanding of data governance, accessibility, and compliance standards.
- MCTS, MCITP, CDMP and/or MVP certifications a plus
- Scrum certifications

Currently, we are looking for a remote Senior Microsoft SQL Server Developer to join our team.
Responsibilities
- High levels of performance, availability, sustainability integrity and security tasks
- Work as SME (Subject matter expert) dedicated with Microsoft SQL Server technology
- Provide solution for database critical issues including capacity, redundancy, replication, and performance
- Work with Database index tuning to resolve database performance issues
- develop policies and procedures for network and/or Internet database access and usage and for the backup and recovery of data
- availability, security, and suitability of data Write scripts related to stored procedures, and triggers
- Write and maintain automation scripts using Windows Power Shell
- Design and develop database architecture for information systems projects
- Design, construct, modify, integrate, implement, and test data models and database management systems
- Work performance and optimization of data by using the SQL server profile, SQL Diag, SQL Query stress, Splunk, O-Stress, and many other customization scripts & jobs
- Monitor SQL server and database performance and proactively address potential performance issues
- Assist developers with query tuning and schema refinement throughout the organization
- Co-ordinate with project lead and teams of data administrators in the development and implementation of data policies, standards, and models
- Communicate effectively with management and relevant stack holders. and Develop good working relationships with other departmental
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience inMicrosoft SQL Server
- Knowledge of Azure Cloud with SQL Server
- Strong troubleshooting skills and analytical thinking to resolve issues and give attention to detail
- Experience in various tools for working in Agile Development Projects like JIRA, Git, Azure Devops
- Experience in time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines

Descripción de las tareas
- Diseñar, implementar y administrar bases de datos en Microsoft SQL Server 2016 o superior.
- Configurar y mantener soluciones de alta disponibilidad y recuperación ante desastres (Always On Availability Groups, replicación, etc.)
- Optimizar el rendimiento de las bases de datos mediante análisis y tunning avanzado.
- Implementar y gestionar instancias de SQL Server en plataformas de nube como AWS, Azure o Google Cloud Platform.
- Explorar y aplicar tecnologías emergentes como Kubernetes para la contenedorización y escalabilidad de bases de datos.
- Realizar auditorías de seguridad y garantizar el cumplimiento de normativas.
- Identificar y resolver problemas críticos de rendimiento y diseño.
- Experiencia mínima de 5 años en administración avanzada de SQL Server.
- Conocimientos sólidos en soluciones de alta disponibilidad y recuperación ante desastres.
- Experiencia práctica con servicios en la nube (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) y bases de datos nativas como Azure SQL Database o Amazon RDS.
- Habilidad comprobada en optimización y tunning de bases de datos.
- Conocimientos en Kubernetes: despliegue, administración y escalado de aplicaciones en clústeres.
- Experiencia con tecnologías de contenedores como Docker.
- Habilidades de scripting para automatización de procesos.
- Automatizar tareas recurrentes mediante scripting en PowerShell, Bash o Python.
- Inglés upper intermediate (B2) o avanzado (C1). La posición es para trabajar remoto con Alemania, por ende, requiere inglés.
