We are seeking a Senior Node.js Developer to join our team in LATAM , working a schedule aligned with Pacific Standard Time (PST) . The expected start time is 5 AM PST / 7 AM MX / 8 AM COL / 10 AM ARG-CHL-UY . This remote role provides the opportunity to collaborate with a dynamic team on exciting projects while ensuring seamless coordination across time zones.

As a Senior Technical Consultant you will participate in all aspects of the software development lifecycle which includes estimating, technical design, implementation, documentation, testing, deployment and support of application developed for our clients. As a member working in a team environment you will take direction from solution architects and Leads on development activities.

Responsibilities

• Participate in technical planning and requirements gathering, including designing, coding, testing, troubleshooting, and documenting backend applications.
• Develop and maintain high-quality APIs and microservices using Node.js, Express.js, and TypeScript.
• Ensure adherence to industry best practices for backend development, including performance optimization, security, and scalability.
• Work with databases such as MongoDB, PostgreSQL, or MySQL, ensuring efficient data handling and querying.
• Implement RESTful APIs and GraphQL services, integrating with third-party systems when necessary.
• Collaborate with frontend developers, DevOps, and other stakeholders to deliver seamless, high-performing applications.
• Work with CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker), and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) for deployment and automation.

• 5+ years of experience in backend development with Node.js and TypeScript/JavaScript.
• Proficiency in Express.js, NestJS, or other Node.js frameworks.
• Strong understanding of asynchronous programming, event-driven architecture, and performance optimization.
• Experience working with databases like MongoDB, PostgreSQL, MySQL, and ORM tools like Sequelize or TypeORM.
• Familiarity with API development, authentication (OAuth, JWT), and security best practices.
• Experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP) and working with CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong debugging, problem-solving, and investigative skills, with the ability to analyze logs and troubleshoot production issues.
• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Objetivo del Puesto

Como Tech Lead en DaCodes, serás responsable de supervisar que los equipos técnicos senior (backend, frontend, QA, DevOps, Data) trabajen conforme a los estándares definidos de calidad, seguridad y buenas prácticas. Además, liderarás la comunicación técnica con clientes, proveedores third party y desarrolladores, adaptando el mensaje según el público objetivo para asegurar claridad y eficacia. Colaborarás con el Project Manager para alinear avances técnicos y contribuirás en la toma de decisiones estratégicas con visión integral, sin necesidad de ser experto en tecnologías específicas.

Responsabilidades Clave

• Supervisar cumplimiento de estándares de desarrollo, calidad y seguridad
• Revisar y validar trabajo de desarrolladores senior para asegurar consistencia y alineación técnica
• Colaborar con Project Manager para asegurar alineación técnica y cumplimiento del roadmap
• Participar en definición y actualización de estándares técnicos y políticas de seguridad
• Resolver dudas técnicas y bloqueos del equipo
• Facilitar comunicación entre equipos multidisciplinarios (backend, frontend, QA, DevOps, Data)
• Liderar la comunicación técnica con clientes y proveedores third party, adaptando el mensaje según audiencia

• Más de 6 años de experiencia en desarrollo de software, con al menos 2 años en roles de liderazgo técnico
• Experiencia supervisando código y seguridad en proyectos complejos
• Conocimiento generalista en tecnologías backend y frontend (ideal en Node.js y React)
• Familiaridad con arquitecturas escalables y gestión de proyectos con múltiples stacks tecnológicos
• Experiencia con control de calidad, testing, CI/CD y seguridad
