Job Description
The MySQL HeatWave Team has an exciting opportunity for a qualified Sales Account Executive to join our team In this role you will sell HeatWave MySQL Database Services across a highly diverse and expansive geography within LAD territory. MySQL HeatWave is a fully managed database service, powered by the HeatWave in-memory query accelerator. It's the only MySQL Cloud service that combines transactions, real-time analytics across data warehouses and data lakes, and machine learning in one MySQL Database—without the complexity, latency, risks, and cost of ETL duplication.

What you will do:
- Foster a culture of sales excellence across all aspects of the sales cycle.
- Enhance C-level relationships with current and future clients, demonstrating business impact and return on investment in a compelling and articulate manner.
- Fine-tune the sales process and create greater levels of collaboration between marketing, sales, and account management.
- Serve as a key ambassador and spokesperson in building the brand.
- Drive revenue and market share in a defined territory
- Meet or exceed quarterly revenue targets
- Develop and execute against a comprehensive account/territory plan
- Create & articulate compelling value propositions around HeatWave services
- Accelerate customer adoption
- Maintain a robust sales pipeline
- Work with partners to extend reach & drive adoption
What you will bring:
- 5+ years of direct sales in analytics, databases, cloud or SaaS markets selling to C-level executives experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent related experience
- Passion and drive along with demonstrated ability to sell innovative technologies to enterprise level customers
- Competitive attitude with the ability to achieve stretch targets. Always finds a way to win, achieve objectives and milestones through strong leadership, excellent execution and, whenever necessary, through experimentation, adaptation, and collaboration.
- Enterprising with clarity of thought and outstanding communication skills. Solid ability to clearly present complex ideas to senior business executives, CIO's and CTO's in a lucid and persuasive manner.
- Well-developed interpersonal skills with effective ability to communicate with internal collaborators to evangelize and close opportunities

Responsibilities
Works to achieve maximum sales profitability, growth, and account penetration within an assigned territory. Territory may be combination of geographic, product, industry and other customer / market dimensions. Sells to the territory directly or via partners. The territory that this rep covers does not have an Inside Sales Rep or Field Rep. Utilizes inbound and/or outbound techniques to identify, qualify and close new opportunities. Manages accounts throughout the entire sales process, and collaborates with team members in business development, consulting and support to uncover all customer needs. Responsible for understanding Oracle's product offerings and competitive issues to develop solution proposals encompassing all aspects of the application. Travels to customer sites to identify / develop sales opportunities. Participates in the development, presentation, and sales of a value proposition. Onsite customer presentation with C-levels to negotiate and close strategic and complex deals. What We Are Looking For- 4+ years of experience with Laravel, specifically with Laravel 8 and above, demonstrating a deep understanding of the framework's architecture and capabilities.
- Expertise in MySQL database performance optimization, with a proven ability to identify and resolve complex database bottlenecks.
- Strong hands‑on experience in writing, optimizing, and debugging complex SQL queries, especially for applications handling large and growing datasets. This includes a thorough understanding of EXPLAIN plans, indexing strategies (including composite indexes), and query rewriting techniques.
- Proficiency with database schema design and normalization/denormalization strategies to ensure scalability and data integrity, particularly for high‑volume transactions.
- Experience with Eloquent ORM and Laravel Query Builder, coupled with a clear understanding of how these tools generate SQL and how to optimize the underlying queries for performance.
- Experience working in complex large‑scale multitenant SaaS applications.
- Solid experience with Laravel Authentication and implementing robust security practices in backend systems.
- Experience with testing tools, such as Pest PHP and PHPUnit, to ensure code quality and system reliability.
- Proficiency in designing and implementing robust, scalable RESTful APIs in Laravel, focusing on performance and data efficiency.
- Experience with ReactJS is a plus.
