Are you an Automotive Technician/Mechanic? Qualified to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent or time served? Looking to work for an established Main Dealer?
Fish Brothers are seeking a skilled Automotive Technician to work within their established Honda franchise in Swindon. You will need to be an all-round level three qualified Technician with a good work ethic to work in a medium paced workshop. With significant experience of working on their own, the ideal candidate will be someone who can work efficiently on any type of work and can diagnose mechanical, electrical and electronic issues. You must be able to work in a team and contribute towards a team bonus based on efficiency and productivity linked to overall labour sales. A knowledge of recent dealership-based processes would be advantageous but not necessary. You will be working within and supporting a young team and an experienced workshop controller.
In return we offer a competitive salary of up to £3 000 basic and 1,000 OTE (dependent on experience), bonus scheme, 22 days holiday plus statutory bank holidays (rising to 26 days with length of service), contributory pension scheme, staff discount on products and services, cycle to work scheme, employee and customer referral schemes, employee car purchase scheme, Healthcare Cash Plan and life assurance (last 3 subject to a qualifying period). You will also be provided with additional training to enhance your skills both at a site level and via manufacturer specific requirements.
Hours of work are 40 per week, Monday to Friday. Saturday mornings are worked on a rota basis and are payable as overtime. A bonus scheme will also apply to this role.

Job Responsibilities

What You'll Do:
- Perform thorough inspections of new/used vehicles and identify any mechanical or electrical issues
- Conduct diagnostic tests to determine the root cause of any issues
- Repair or replace parts as necessary, such as brakes, tires, belts, hoses, and suspension systems
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes and tire rotations
- Ensure all repairs and maintenance work are completed to a high standard and in a timely manner
- Communicate with the service manager and provide recommendations for any repairs or maintenance work that may be needed
Requirements
You're Our Ideal Candidate If You Have:
- 2+ years of wrenching experience - B Level Tech or higher
- ASE certifications (preferred, but not required)
- Valid driver's license and a passion for all things automotive
