Title and Summary
Mastercard Data & Services provides cutting-edge data analysis and services to Fortune 500s, governments, and nonprofits to make multimillion-dollar business decisions and grow their organizations. Our Advisors Client Services team combines traditional management consulting with Mastercard’s rich data assets and in-house technologies to provide our clients with strategic insights and recommendations. Mastercard Advisors work with a diverse global customer base across industries, from banking and payments to retail and finance.
The Advisors Client Services group has five specializations: Performance Analytics, Strategy & Transformation, Business Experimentation, Marketing, and Project Management. Our Strategy & Transformation consultants lead customers through decision making, tackling strategic, operational, and transformational challenges across topics like product, business drivers, loyalty, and innovation. You will apply problem-solving techniques to improve clients’ strategy, performance, and operations.

Roles and Responsibilities
Client Impact
- Manage deliverable development and workstreams across industries and problem statements
- Develop strategies and programs for large, regional, and global clients using data and technology solutions
- Manage relationships with client managers, acting as a trusted partner
Team Collaboration & Culture
- Develop business recommendations and deliver client presentations
- Organize and structure work, lead analysis, synthesize findings, and create storylines
- Lead team and external meetings, and project management
- Contribute to intellectual capital and solution development
- Mentor junior consultants and enable project ownership
Qualifications
Basic qualifications
- Undergraduate degree and experience in consulting, strategy, business intelligence, or related fields
- Experience managing clients or stakeholders
- Strong analytical and communication skills in English and local language
- Eligible to work in the country and for travel visas
Preferred qualifications
- Experience managing tasks in team environments with third parties
- Experience coaching junior staff
- Relevant industry expertise
- MBA or master’s degree (not required)

Global Banking and Markets Engineering (GBME) is the fast-moving, award-winning technology engine that powers Scotiabank’s Corporate, Investment Banking, and Capital Markets businesses.
The Role
GBME – Risk Technology is searching for a Technical Business Analyst to support a Counterparty Credit Risk Application.
The successful candidate will have a results-oriented and curious mindset with strong technical skills. You will work closely with cross functional teams, including engineers, solutions architects, and business teams to develop and implement market leading solutions that are scalable and deliver excellence, and value to our business partners and customers.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF INITIAL PROJECT:
Modernization project: Planning to move away with legacy database and market risk process and modernize the pipeline so that upgrades can be made quickly.
KEY SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED FOR PROJECT:
- 3 to 5+ years’ experience in the capacity of a BSA
- 3 to 5+ years’ recent and relevant experience with capital markets risk and financial risk (CCR Calculation and work with complex financial instruments, etc.)
As part of the role, you’ll
- Collaborate with other teams within risk management to gather requirements and provide updates on progress
- Working alongside other BAs, developers, and project managers
- Generate business requirements and documents that align to the policies to ensure that the new technology meets the needs of the business lines as they adapt to comply with policy
- Analyzing existing processing and identifying opportunities for optimization
- Work alongside developers and technical experts to develop functions or technical requirements that will provide the reference for new technology and new software
- Design functional test cases and carry out the testing and valuation concurrently with development
- Review test results and identify corrective steps for complex issues across application boundaries
- Utilize strong written and verbal communication skills when conducting and facilitating presentations to stakeholders and management
- Exercise initiative and sound judgment in the execution of project plans and schedules Perform ad hoc work as needed
Minimum Qualifications
- 3 to 5+ years’ experience in the capacity of a BSA
- 3 to 5+ years’ recent and relevant experience with capital markets risk and financial risk (VAR calculation and work with complex financial instruments, etc.)
- 3 to 5+ years’ experience with Python shell scripting
- Recent experience in Sybase, Postgres SQL
- Recent hands-on working experience with Unix/Linux is required
- Experience working across multiple teams and functions to ensure alignment.
- Experience working with all phases of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle).
- Ability to adapt quickly to new processes and standards, with a strong commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
- Proven ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications and deliver working results.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Excellent working experience of Microsoft suite of products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project).
Preferred Qualifications
- An understanding of the Bank’s application system and software from a business/technical viewpoint is required to assess the impact of development and/or changes to the overall data processing environment).
- Experience with JIRA and Confluence is an asset.

**Requisitos:**
