About You and this Role
You are motivated to build and maintain robust systems and solutions in cloud and on-premises environments. You will contribute to the full cycle of systems development, including design, build, testing, and delivery, working under general supervision. Key Objectives
Contribute to the design, implementation, and maintenance of high-availability continuous integration (CI) systems and other core infrastructure services, primarily hosted on AWS and GCP.
Help ensure that cloud resources and services in AWS and GCP are designed, implemented, and maintained for reliability, performance, and scalability, following best practices.
Assist in maintaining and utilizing tools for monitoring, managing, and automating infrastructure within AWS and GCP environments.
Troubleshoot and resolve moderately complex issues related to AWS and GCP infrastructure and services
May assist in guiding junior team members on tasks related to cloud infrastructure operations in AWS and GCP
Required Qualifications
Relevant experience in an IT support environment with technical experience in distributed technologies and systems development, including hands-on experience with cloud platforms.
Experience with automation and Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform, Packer).
Strong experience in Linux systems
Strong understanding of Linux Containers and Kubernetes
Demonstrable experience working with cloud platforms, specifically AWS and GCP.
Experience with Business Continuity Planning (BCP), Disaster Recovery (DR) planning and testing
Preferred Qualifications
BS/BA degree in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or Computer Science
Relevant certifications in AWS or GCP
Comfortable working in one or more of the following languages: Go (preferred), Python, NodeJS, Java
Experience contributing to IT projects involving cloud migrations or deployments.
Experience supporting global IT solutions with a hybrid infrastructure

About You and this Role
We are looking for an experienced IT Infrastructure Manager to lead and grow our talented infrastructure team. Reporting to the Director of IT, you will be instrumental in building a strong team capable of managing Liferay's extensive global infrastructure, with a particular focus on our large-scale Continuous Integration (CI) environment hosted primarily in AWS, alongside significant resources in GCP. You will oversee the management, strategy, and execution of Liferay's cloud (AWS, GCP) and on-premises infrastructure. This role requires a blend of strong technical infrastructure expertise, particularly in cloud environments, and proven leadership capabilities to manage engineers, guide projects, ensure system reliability, and contribute to the overarching IT strategy. You are motivated by the challenge of managing complex, hybrid cloud environments and are passionate about developing your team members.
Key Objectives
Lead, mentor, build, and direct the Infrastructure team, fostering a collaborative environment and promoting individual growth through performance management and development plans.
Develop and implement strategies for managing, optimizing, and scaling Liferay's cloud infrastructure, focusing on AWS and GCP environments, especially the CI systems.
Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of reliable, performant, and scalable servers, networks, CI/CD infrastructure, and associated systems.
Ensure the implementation and effectiveness of monitoring, remote management, and automation tools for infrastructure management across AWS, GCP, and on-premises environments.
Collaborate with Security, DevOps, Engineering, and other departments to engineer IT solutions, ensuring operational efficiency and adherence to security best practices.
Manage infrastructure projects, including system migrations, scaling initiatives, and technology upgrades.
Oversee Business Continuity Planning (BCP) and Disaster Recovery (DR) strategies for infrastructure systems.
Administer established policies and procedures, contributing to departmental budgeting, strategic planning, and procedural improvements.
Set performance targets for the team, track progress, and report to senior leadership.
Required Qualifications
Comprehensive knowledge of IT infrastructure concepts and principles, including extensive experience with both AWS and GCP cloud platforms, virtualization, networking, and server hardware management.
Proven experience leading, managing, and building an IT infrastructure team, including personnel decisions and performance management.
Demonstrated experience in developing and executing strategic plans for infrastructure scalability, reliability, and security in cloud environments.
Experience performing complex tasks related to infrastructure design, implementation, and maintenance.
Experience with infrastructure automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to partner with cross-departmental leaders.
Experience setting performance targets and reporting progress to leadership.
Preferred Qualifications
Strong experience managing large-scale Continuous Integration (CI/CD) infrastructure and associated tools.
BS/BA degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Relevant technical certifications (e.g., AWS, GCP, Networking, ITIL) are a plus.

Job Description:
POSITION SUMMARY: The primary purpose of this position is to support the design, and test the implementation of Architectural changes to the Sutherland Connect platform. The candidate will provide monitoring of the platform and proactively address any issues or anomalies. It is also responsible to drive metrics and key factors to problem management of common issues and drive them through to resolution.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Qualified individuals must have the ability to perform the following duties:
- Responsible for the support of Sutherland Connect platforms. Current platforms include Genesys Omni-Channel solutions such as SIP Server, Genesys Routing, Inbound Voice, Genesys OBS, Genesys Email, Genesys Chat, Genesys Social Media, Genesys Infomart, GVP, Genesys SMS, Speech Analytics, Proactive Contact, Call Back, etc.
- Strong knowledge of SIP from the carrier level. Strong knowledge of Oracle (Acme Packet) and Avaya SBCs and TDM Gateways such as Audio Codes M3Ks and G450s.
- Understanding of the technical design and troubleshooting steps to support and test.
- Partners with the Business and Service Delivery team to assist with issue resolution of new Program solutions.
- Responsible for Engineering change documentation for Run books.
- Partners with development/integrations team for platform support when needed.
- Develop testing solutions to provide proactive testing methodology and use of CYARA tool for monitoring capabilities for all Connect programs
- Conduct testing and develop disaster recovery plans to detect faults, minimize malfunctions, and backup systems.
- Provide highest level of technical consultancy to ensure problem resolution is achieved in the shortest possible timeframe
- Manages vendors on escalated issues and projects specific to your area of influence.
- Interacts directly with client related to issues, problems, or overall design.
- Drive monitoring of the platform and reports issues and anomalies
- Lead outage calls and drive through to resolution
- Work within ateam of Support Engineers, on issues related to the Connect platform or a specific area of influence for proper resolution and documentation of issues.

**INGENIERO DE APLICACIONES E INFRAESTRUCTURA DE TI**
**Objetivo de la posición**:
Responsable de respaldar y mejorar los servicios e infraestructura de TI actuales.
**Principales Responsabilidades**:
- Funcionar como enlace entre TI y las partes interesadas/usuarios del negocio
- Implementar actualizaciones tecnológicas y entregar proyectos de infraestructura.
- Mantener un inventario de todos los activos de TI, incluidos los servicios, el hardware y las aplicaciones para los sitios bajo su responsabilidad.
- Brindar soporte local al usuario final cuando el soporte remoto no sea posible
- Impulsar la estandarización y consolidación de los componentes de la infraestructura dentro de la región respectiva, incluido el aprovechamiento de la computación en la nube cuando sea posible.
- Participar en la evaluación, selección e implementación de la tecnología de infraestructura requerida para respaldar aplicaciones comerciales críticas como SAP y Salesforce.
- Funcionar como un "consultor interno", en áreas de experiência en infraestructura/aplicaciones
**Requisitos**:
- Profesional en Ingeniería de Sistemas
- Más de 4 años de experiência en cargos relacionados
- Inglés B2

- 2+ years of experience in IT infrastructure.
