Conditions: Independent Contractor | Long Term

About Kitsch

we move fast and break molds. We're not looking for a traditional HR Manager; we're seeking a strategic powerhouse who thrives on challenge and delivers results at pace. If you're energized by solving complex people puzzles and driving tangible business outcomes, you've found your next playground.

The Opportunity

We need an HR Manager who is a true go-getter—a proactive leader who anticipates problems, seizes opportunities, and isn't afraid to roll up their sleeves to get the job done. This role is critical for scaling our team and enhancing our employee experience. Your mission: to eliminate roadblocks in recruiting and management with speed, precision, and a solutions-oriented mindset.

Key Responsibilities: Where You'll Make an Impact

  1. High-Velocity Talent Acquisition & Recruitment:

  2. Take full ownership of the end-to-end recruitment lifecycle, from sourcing to offer, ensuring a seamless and swift candidate experience.

  3. Proactively build and maintain a robust pipeline of top-tier talent for current and future needs.
  4. Implement innovative sourcing strategies to attract passive candidates and reduce time-to-fill.
  5. Partner directly with department heads to understand their urgent hiring needs and deliver quality candidates, fast.

2. Proactive Employee Relations & Management Support:

  • Act as a strategic partner to managers, providing real-time coaching on performance management, conflict resolution, and team dynamics.
  • Anticipate and resolve employee relations issues swiftly and effectively, fostering a positive, high-performance work environment.
  • Drive key HR initiatives including performance reviews, employee engagement surveys, and talent development programs.

3. Process Innovation & HR Operations:

  • Champion efficiency: Continuously audit and improve HR processes (onboarding, offboarding, compliance) to be faster, smarter, and more user-friendly.
  • Manage HRIS and ensure data integrity, using metrics to inform decisions and demonstrate progress.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws—staying ahead of the curve on legal changes.
Requirements

Who You Are: The Ideal Candidate

  • You are the definition of a hands-on, results-driven problem-solver. You don't see obstacles; you see challenges to be conquered.
  • A True Go-Getter: You are intrinsically motivated, require minimal direction, and have a proven track record of taking initiative.
  • Fast & Agile: You operate with a sense of urgency and can pivot quickly in a dynamic environment. "That's not my job" is not in your vocabulary.
  • Solution-Focused Mindset: When presented with a problem, your first instinct is to develop and propose a solution, not just identify the issue.
  • Exceptional Influencer: You build trust quickly and can effectively coach and influence managers at all levels.
  • Master Multi-Tasker: You expertly juggle multiple high-priority projects without dropping the ball.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in Human Resources, with at least 2 years in an HR Manager or Senior HR Generalist role.
  • Proven experience dramatically improving recruitment metrics (time-to-hire, quality of hire, etc.).
  • Deep, hands-on knowledge of employee relations, performance management, and employment law.
  • SHRM-CP or PHR certification is a strong plus.
