Purpose of the consultancy:
The overall objective of the consultancy is to develop training materials for a Gender-Sensitive Data Analysis Workshop and to facilitate the workshop.
Please carefully review details of the consultancy service from the Terms of Reference (ToR), which is available at UNFPA Mongolia webpage:

Qualifications and requirements:

  • Advanced university degree, at least a Master’s degree in statistics, data science, social work, public health.
  • Additional training in gender data analysis, data management, ethics, and research methods would be valuable assets.
  • At least 5 years of proven experience working on data analysis and gender issues.
  • Fluency in both English and Mongolian is required for both writing and speaking. (Mongolian for effective communication with relevant partners, facilitation of training and English for accessing international best practices, resources and communicating with UNFPA APRO experts and UNFPA Mongolia).

From analyzing and validating data files to troubleshooting discrepancies and maintaining smooth system integrations, you’ll play a critical role in supporting our clients’ success.

What You’ll Be Doing:

️ Analyzing and processing data using Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, and more).

️ Reviewing and validating data files to ensure accuracy and compliance.

️ Providing file specifications and collaborating with clients to correct discrepancies.

️ Supporting clients with ongoing system updates, renewals, and file configurations.

️ Monitoring and maintaining daily file transmission schedules.

️ Troubleshooting and resolving data errors promptly.

️ Implementing and testing new EDI connections for seamless data feeds.

️ Managing vendor interfaces to ensure timely data transmission and discrepancy resolution.

️ Working within the Employee Navigator Benefit Admin system for updates and configurations.

️ Training clients on new systems and processes when needed.

️ Responding promptly to client inquiries and requests.

What You Bring to the Table:

Proficiency in Excel , especially Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP.

Experience working with large data sets and ensuring data accuracy.
