Formación académica:
Profesional en Ingeniería de Sistemas, Informática, Telecomunicaciones o afines.

Certificaciones técnicas (deseables):
AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Associate / Professional)

Diseñar arquitecturas escalables, seguras y resilientes en AWS, alineadas con las necesidades de negocio y mejores prácticas de Well-Architected Framework. Liderar la definición de estrategias de migración a la nube (Lift & Shift, Modernización, Serverless, Containers). Evaluar y seleccionar servicios de AWS apropiados para cada caso de uso (ECS/EKS, Lambda, API Gateway, RDS, DynamoDB, S3, etc.). Establecer modelos de red y seguridad (VPC, Transit Gateway, PrivateLink, WAF, Shield, Palo Alto/Firewall appliances). Implementar esquemas de identidad y gobierno multi-cuenta con AWS Organizations, Control Tower e IAM Identity Center. Asegurar cumplimiento normativo y de seguridad (HIPAA, PCI-DSS, ISO, SOC2) integrando herramientas como Security Hub, Config y CloudTrail. Optimizar costos mediante análisis FinOps y adopción de planes de ahorro (Savings Plans, Reserved Instances, Storage Tiers). Colaborar con equipos DevOps y de desarrollo para definir patrones de IaC, CI/CD y observabilidad integrados en la arquitectura. Guiar a clientes y equipos internos en la adopción de arquitecturas innovadoras (Data Lakes, AI/ML en SageMaker, Integración AWS GCP/Azure). Elaborar presentaciones ejecutivas, diagramas y documentos de referencia arquitectónica que soporten la toma de decisiones estratégicas.
Requisitos:Docker & Kubernetes (EKS) – Diseño y despliegue de arquitecturas basadas en microservicios y contenedores.
AWS KMS – Gestión de secretos y cifrado.
ConocimiEntos Específicos en Arquitectura de TI
Estrategias de migración a la nube – Lift & Shift, Modernización, Serverless y Multi-Cloud.
FinOps – Optimización de costos con Savings Plans, Reserved Instances y gestión de storage tiers.
Alta disponibilidad y resiliencia – Multi-Region, Multi-AZ, backups con AWS Backup y recuperación ante desastres.

Position SummaryThis position has a hybrid working arrangement, working remotely some days and in the office on others. This role can be based in Bolivia, Colombia, Peru, Costa Rica, Mexico, Ecuador, or Brazil (Fully Remote).
The Cloud Solutions Developer will lead the design, development, and optimization of the organization’s web and cloud systems. This position combines hands-on technical expertise with strategic leadership, ensuring secure, scalable, and cost-effective solutions that enable our mission globally.

- Technical Leadership
- Develop, maintain, and optimize web systems built on multiple architectures.
- Design, develop, and implement cloud-based applications.
- Collaborate with design, content, infrastructure, and security teams to implement and maintain secure, performant, cost-effective, and scalable cloud-based solutions.
- Maintain a code repository and provide technical support and troubleshooting for web applications and CMS.
- Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure the organization remains at the forefront of web development and cloud computing.
- Strategic and Advisory
- Develop and maintain standards for web application development, hosting, and maintenance.
- Advise programs on technical components of web application and CMS development.
- Manage relationships with cloud service providers, including budget and service agreements.
- Represent the organization externally and serve as a trusted point of contact for technical inquiries.
- Identify opportunities for technical advancement and innovation within the IT Solutions team.
- People & Resource Management
- Partner with Finance to monitor budgets and spending for web applications and cloud-based solutions.
- Does not directly supervise staff.
- Flexible work arrangements, including hybrid work options (Remote in Brazil).
- Occasional travel, as needed.
- Required
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
- 5 to 7 years of experience in full-stack development and cloud-based solutions.
- Proficiency in front-end, back-end, and cloud-based technologies (e.g., JavaScript, PHP, Python, Node.js, .Net, AWS/Azure, Craft/Sanity CMS).
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent organization, prioritization, and time management abilities.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse teams in a multicultural environment.
- Proven ability to multitask and meet priorities in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and minimal supervision.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Fluency in English (verbal and written) is required.
- Preferred
- Experience working with or managing external vendors.
- Experience managing budgets for cloud solutions.
- Experience mentoring or supporting other developers in technical project design and delivery.

We are hiring an Cloud Solutions Architect in our Alliances team to help our biggest partners (companies like Intel, Nvidia, Google, Dell, HP, Accenture, Tata and the like) understand and embrace our open source platform for themselves and their customers.
Our worldwide field engineering team apply expert insights to real-world customer problems, enabling the enterprise adoption of Ubuntu, OpenStack, Kubernetes, AI/MLOps and a wide range of associated technologies. We are experts in the whole open source stack, from kernel to desktop, from cloud to the edge. Our team is also interested in business problems - building things reliably, efficiently and cost-effectively, and we have to learn to speak the language of our customers and their industries.
We help global companies embrace public and private cloud infrastructure, cloud native operations, and open source applications. For this team we are looking for several Alliances Engineers to support OEM (hardware manufacturers), GSI (global system integrators), ISV (independent software vendors), Channel partners and Public Cloud alliance partners. You will support various alliances and partners of Canonical to adopt our products and technologies, help business leaders to define joint go-to-market programs with partners from the technical standpoint.
We often say that our field engineers have 'the hardest job at Canonical' because customers can ask about any aspect of our solutions and products and expect a thoughtful, well-informed answer. We always want to do the best thing for our partners and customers, regardless of our company interests, and field engineers are the people we trust to ensure that is true.
Location : This is a home-based role, we are hiring worldwide.
What your day will look like
- Understand Ubuntu, Linux, networking and services in real-world environments
- Architect cloud infrastructure solutions like Kubernetes, Kubeflow, OpenStack, Ceph, and Spark either On-Premises or in Public Cloud (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
- Architect and integrate popular open source software such as PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Kafka, Cassandra and NGINX
- Help partners to offer and architect joint solutions utilizing Canonical's technologies on top of the public clouds and in the data center
- Design and publish joint Reference Architectures and perform technical validations with various partners
- Prepare and run onboarding sessions/workshops with various partners' teams to promote Canonical products and solutions
What we are looking for in you
- Extensive experience with Linux (Ubuntu preferred), Kubernetes, Ceph, software automation
- Experience designing and implementing solutions on top of public or private clouds
- Python and bash understanding, troubleshooting skills
- Fluent written and spoken English
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- High motivation, ability to multi-task and follow-up reliably on commitments
- Interest in customer-facing engagement, including pitching, demonstrating and understanding customer environment and needs
- Interest in new technologies like LXD, Juju and Snaps
- Ability to travel globally up to 30% of the time
- Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics or related technical field experience

For this team we are looking for several Alliances Engineers to support OEM (hardware manufacturers), GSI (global system integrators), ISV (independent software vendors), Channel partners and Public Cloud alliance partners. You will support various alliances and partners of Canonical to adopt our products and technologies, help business leaders to define joint go-to-market programs with partners from the technical standpoint.
We often say that our field engineers have 'the hardest job at Canonical' because customers can ask about any aspect of our solutions and products and expect a thoughtful, well-informed answer. We always want to do the best thing for our partners and customers, regardless of our company interests, and field engineers are the people we trust to ensure that is true.
Location : This is a home-based role, we are hiring worldwide.
What your day will look like
- Understand Ubuntu, Linux, networking and services in real-world environments
- Architect cloud infrastructure solutions like Kubernetes, Kubeflow, OpenStack, Ceph, and Spark either On-Premises or in Public Cloud (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
- Architect and integrate popular open source software such as PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Kafka, Cassandra and NGINX
- Help partners to offer and architect joint solutions utilizing Canonical's technologies on top of the public clouds and in the data center
- Design and publish joint Reference Architectures and perform technical validations with various partners
- Prepare and run onboarding sessions/workshops with various partners' teams to promote Canonical products and solutions
What we are looking for in you
- Extensive experience with Linux (Ubuntu preferred), Kubernetes, Ceph, software automation
- Experience designing and implementing solutions on top of public or private clouds
- Python and bash understanding, troubleshooting skills
- Fluent written and spoken English
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- High motivation, ability to multi-task and follow-up reliably on commitments
- Interest in customer-facing engagement, including pitching, demonstrating and understanding customer environment and needs
- Interest in new technologies like LXD, Juju and Snaps
- Ability to travel globally up to 30% of the time
- Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics or related technical field experience

We revisit compensation annually (and more often for graduates and associates) to ensure we recognise outstanding performance. In addition to base pay, we offer a performance-driven annual bonus. Our worldwide field engineering team apply expert insights to real-world customer problems, enabling the enterprise adoption of Ubuntu, OpenStack, Kubernetes, AI/MLOps and a wide range of associated technologies. - Extensive experience with Linux (Ubuntu preferred), Kubernetes, Ceph, software automation
- Experience designing and implementing solutions on top of public or private clouds
- Python and bash understanding, troubleshooting skills
- Fluent written and spoken English
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- High motivation, ability to multi-task and follow-up reliably on commitments
- Interest in customer-facing engagement, including pitching, demonstrating and understanding customer environment and needs
- Interest in new technologies like LXD, Juju and Snaps
- Ability to travel globally up to 30% of the time
- Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics or related technical field experience

Teams meet two to four times yearly in person, in interesting locations around the world, to align on strategy and execution.

We are hiring an Cloud Solutions Architect in our Alliances team to help our biggest partners (companies like Intel, Nvidia, Google, Dell, HP, Accenture, Tata and the like) understand and embrace our open source platform for themselves and their customers.
Our worldwide field engineering team apply expert insights to real-world customer problems, enabling the enterprise adoption of Ubuntu, OpenStack, Kubernetes, AI/MLOps and a wide range of associated technologies. We are experts in the whole open source stack, from kernel to desktop, from cloud to the edge. Our team is also interested in business problems - building things reliably, efficiently and cost-effectively, and we have to learn to speak the language of our customers and their industries.
We help global companies embrace public and private cloud infrastructure, cloud native operations, and open source applications. For this team we are looking for several Alliances Engineers to support OEM (hardware manufacturers), GSI (global system integrators), ISV (independent software vendors), Channel partners and Public Cloud alliance partners. You will support various alliances and partners of Canonical to adopt our products and technologies, help business leaders to define joint go-to-market programs with partners from the technical standpoint.
We often say that our field engineers have 'the hardest job at Canonical' because customers can ask about any aspect of our solutions and products and expect a thoughtful, well-informed answer. We always want to do the best thing for our partners and customers, regardless of our company interests, and field engineers are the people we trust to ensure that is true.
Location : This is a home-based role, we are hiring worldwide.
What your day will look like
- Understand Ubuntu, Linux, networking and services in real-world environments
- Architect cloud infrastructure solutions like Kubernetes, Kubeflow, OpenStack, Ceph, and Spark either On-Premises or in Public Cloud (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
- Architect and integrate popular open source software such as PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Kafka, Cassandra and NGINX
- Help partners to offer and architect joint solutions utilizing Canonical's technologies on top of the public clouds and in the data center
- Design and publish joint Reference Architectures and perform technical validations with various partners
- Prepare and run onboarding sessions/workshops with various partners' teams to promote Canonical products and solutions
