ABOUT THE ROLE & TEAM
The Cloud Solutions Engineer is responsible for managing the delivery and support of Ingenico solutions to customers and partners: Terminal Estate Manager (TEM), Manage 360 (M360), and On-Guard.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Solution Design - Gather requirements from customers subscribing to Ingenico’s cloud-based services through interactions with technical and non-technical teams within Ingenico as well as external to Ingenico.
- Participate in solution designs according to the business rules and requirements. Elaborate technical documents to scope the solutions to deliver to the customer.
- Device Management Solution Support - On-Premises installation of Terminal Estate Manager (TEM) solution for clients procuring the Licensed versions of the application. Such installations require varied experience with backend technology options, including Networking, Operating Systems, Databases, Network File Systems, and customer-specific implementations. Provide support to clients across NAR region.
- Solution, design, develop, and maintain customizations for both Ingenico-hosted and client-hosted installations of the applications to augment feature functionalities that are not available with the base product.
- Provide ongoing support for Hosted and Licensed installations – version upgrades, troubleshooting, configuration, and onboarding, including the interaction between terminal applications and customizations.
- Running billing and other ad hoc reports from TEM.
- Defining TEM campaigns for RKI (Remote Key Injection) operations.
- Run bulk onboarding of devices through Merchant Boarding Tool Interface (MBTI).
- Provide TEM, M360 overview, training, and walkthroughs for clients and internal teams.
- Provision, update, delete, and maintain all Virtual Machines and cloud infrastructure (load balancers, firewalls, network segments) used on Google Cloud (GCP) infrastructure for TEM, M360.
- Manage ELK stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana, etc.) for advanced features of TEM.
- Manage cloud databases: backup, cleanup, and monitor health and capacity on GCP platform.
- Write shell scripts for various functionalities and custom components.
- Manage SQL reports for specific customer requirements.
- Manage Linux and Windows Server environments.
- Manage NFS repositories.
- Design and execute testing with support teams to ensure custom solutions function properly.

We are hiring an Cloud Solutions Architect in our Alliances team to help our biggest partners (companies like Intel, Nvidia, Google, Dell, HP, Accenture, Tata and the like) understand and embrace our open source platform for themselves and their customers.
Our worldwide field engineering team apply expert insights to real-world customer problems, enabling the enterprise adoption of Ubuntu, OpenStack, Kubernetes, AI/MLOps and a wide range of associated technologies. We are experts in the whole open source stack, from kernel to desktop, from cloud to the edge. Our team is also interested in business problems - building things reliably, efficiently and cost-effectively, and we have to learn to speak the language of our customers and their industries.
We help global companies embrace public and private cloud infrastructure, cloud native operations, and open source applications. For this team we are looking for several Alliances Engineers to support OEM (hardware manufacturers), GSI (global system integrators), ISV (independent software vendors), Channel partners and Public Cloud alliance partners. You will support various alliances and partners of Canonical to adopt our products and technologies, help business leaders to define joint go-to-market programs with partners from the technical standpoint.
We often say that our field engineers have 'the hardest job at Canonical' because customers can ask about any aspect of our solutions and products and expect a thoughtful, well-informed answer. We always want to do the best thing for our partners and customers, regardless of our company interests, and field engineers are the people we trust to ensure that is true.
Location : This is a home-based role, we are hiring worldwide.
What your day will look like
- Understand Ubuntu, Linux, networking and services in real-world environments
- Architect cloud infrastructure solutions like Kubernetes, Kubeflow, OpenStack, Ceph, and Spark either On-Premises or in Public Cloud (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
- Architect and integrate popular open source software such as PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Kafka, Cassandra and NGINX
- Help partners to offer and architect joint solutions utilizing Canonical's technologies on top of the public clouds and in the data center
- Design and publish joint Reference Architectures and perform technical validations with various partners
- Prepare and run onboarding sessions/workshops with various partners' teams to promote Canonical products and solutions
What we are looking for in you
- Extensive experience with Linux (Ubuntu preferred), Kubernetes, Ceph, software automation
- Experience designing and implementing solutions on top of public or private clouds
- Python and bash understanding, troubleshooting skills
- Fluent written and spoken English
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- High motivation, ability to multi-task and follow-up reliably on commitments
- Interest in customer-facing engagement, including pitching, demonstrating and understanding customer environment and needs
- Interest in new technologies like LXD, Juju and Snaps
- Ability to travel globally up to 30% of the time
- Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics or related technical field experience

The team:
Scotiabank has embarked on the journey to modernize both development practices and tools. One of the main areas of transformation is the public cloud and the various platform technologies that support both development and operations on the cloud. The aim is to provide a streamlined process and framework which will allow the development teams to focus on building business logic. The platform is used by development teams globally to host hundreds of applications. We are building our development team with influencer, makers, creators and industry leaders who will drive us forward.
The role of Cloud Engineer operates within the Modern Apps Platform Engineering team. This valuable member of the team will be responsible for creating platform components and services for the broad enterprise use.
Is this role right for you?
- You consider yourself to be a subject matter expert in designing and managing Cloud Services - Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) & Platform as a Service (PaaS)
- You thrive on the detailed design & deployment of cloud service; the same in the design & implementation of automated delivery pipelines for the cloud services.
- You can work with engineers and architects on breaking-down, scoping, and estimating tasks.
- You are proficient in providing Level 3 support for developed Cloud Services.
- You can develop & document operational procedures for service operations teams.

- Must to have :
- You have at least 3+ years of hands-on technical working experience in the use of Azure Cloud and Google Cloud Platform for services such as:
- Container Orchestration (Google Kubernetes Engine, Azure Kubernetes Services, App Service Environment)
- Container Registry (Google Container Registry, Azure Container Registry)
- Virtual Private Cloud (Cloud Load Balancing, Network Security Groups, Private Endpoints etc.)
- IaaS Services (Compute, Azure Service Environments, App Engine, Autoscaler)
- Storage Services (Google Cloud Storage, Azure Storage Accounts, Managed Disks)
- Relational Database Services (Cloud SQL, AzureSQL Managed Instance).
- You have at least 3+ years of hands-on technical working experience of using Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) Tools (e.g., Git plus Azure DevOps and/or Jenkins and/or GitHub Enterprise, etc.) for the purposes of maintaining pipelines.
- You have at least 2+ years of hands-on technical working experience with GO programming language (Golang) or any OOP.
- You have hands-on technical working knowledge of Cloud Security concepts.
- You have hands-on technical working experience in providing L3 operational support on Azure Cloud and Google Cloud Platform services.
- B1 level of English.
- You have at least 3+ years of hands-on technical working experience in the use of Azure Cloud and Google Cloud Platform for services such as:
- Soft sklills :
- You can demonstrate a proficiency in root cause analysis and problem solving in production support scenarios.
- Preferable :
- You have at least 3+ years of hands-on technical working experience in implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) delivery pipelines using HashiCorp’s Terraform (nice to have).
- You have at least 3+ years of hands-on technical working experience in the use of Configuration Management & Automation tools (e.g., Perforce’s Puppet and/or Red Hat Ansible and/or Progress Chef) (nice to have).
- You have at least 5+ years of hands-on technical working experience with Bash and/or Powershell to develop automation & deployment utilities (nice to have).
- You possess a sound knowledge of software development methodologies including Agile Scrum/Kanban and Waterfall (nice to have).

We are looking for a Cloud Engineer with strong expertise in AWS and infrastructure automation to join our team. If you have a passion for building scalable cloud solutions and enjoy working with modern DevOps practices, we’d love to hear from you!
Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and manage cloud-based architectures using AWS IaaS and PaaS services.
- Administer Linux-based environments and ensure system reliability.
- Deploy containerized and serverless architectures.
- Implement security best practices, compliance standards, and vulnerability management.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines , incorporating SAST/DAST security measures.
- Develop scripts using Python or Node.js to enhance automation and cloud operations.
- Collaborate with application teams to guide their cloud adoption journeys.
Requirements:
- 8+ years of experience in the IT industry.
- English advanced (C1)
- 6+ years of experience in public cloud hosting.
- 4+ years of hands-on experience with:
- AWS services and cloud architectures.
- Terraform and infrastructure as code (IaC).
- Linux administration and troubleshooting.
- Cloud security, compliance, and vulnerability management.
- CI/CD pipeline development and automation.
- 2+ years of scripting experience (Python or Node.js preferred).
- Strong understanding of high availability, security, disaster recovery, resiliency, networking, storage, and compute .
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently with application teams.

Descripción
- Diseñar e implementar soluciones en la nube para respaldar las necesidades del negocio.
- Administrar la infraestructura en la nube asegurando su rendimiento y disponibilidad.
- Identificar y resolver problemas técnicos relacionados con los servicios en la nube.
- Colaborar con equipos técnicos para garantizar la integración de sistemas.
- Implementar y supervisar políticas de seguridad en la nube.
- Realizar pruebas y actualizaciones de sistemas en la nube.
- Documentar procesos y soluciones técnicas para referencia futura.
- Proveer soporte técnico avanzado para los servicios en la nube.
Perfil buscado (h/m)
El/la candidato/a seleccionado deberá cumplir los siguientes requisitos:
- Formación en ingeniería de sistemas, computación o carreras afines.
- Experiencia en la implementación y administración de servicios en la nube.
- Conocimientos sólidos de plataformas como AWS, Azure o Google Cloud.
- Habilidades para resolver problemas técnicos de manera eficiente.
- Capacidad para trabajar en equipo y colaborar con diferentes áreas.
- Nivel intermedio o avanzado de inglés es un plus.

Tus principales responsabilidades a desarrollar:
Conocimientos:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 2-4 years of professional experience with AzureCloud.
• Deep Azure Expertise - Strong knowledge of Azure services like Virtual Machines, Azure Functions, AKS, App Services, and Networking.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC) - Hands-on experience with Terraform, Bicep, and ARM templates for automated infrastructure deployment.
• CI/CD & DevOps Practices - Proficiency in Azure DevOps Pipelines, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins for automation and deployment.
• Cloud Security & Governance - Familiarity with Azure Security Center, Defender for Cloud, RBAC, and compliance frameworks.
• Monitoring & Performance Tuning - Experience with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights, and cost optimization strategies.
• Automation & Scripting - Strong proficiency in PowerShell, Python, or Bash for automating Azure operations and management.
