Job Description
The Senior Project Manager is responsible for leading complex projects from conception through to completion, ensuring that they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the agreed quality standards. The role involves coordinating with multiple stakeholders, managing project risks, and ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
+ Lead and manage end-to-end project delivery, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closure
+ Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets, and obtain necessary approvals
+ Coordinate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure project alignment and resource availability
+ Identify, assess, and manage project risks and issues, implementing effective mitigation strategies

The RoleAs a Project Manager - IoT Electrical Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful deployment and functionality of our operational intelligence platform for facilities. Your expertise in project coordination, troubleshooting, and commissioning of building equipment will drive seamless integration and operation of our electrical, gas, and water meters and other devices. This role requires a proactive approach to project management, a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality, and the ability to communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and customers.
Responsibilities: Project Coordination- Create a plan for conducting surveys utilizing third party contractors
- Supervise and coordinate site surveys execution
- Validate survey to ensure a complete survey is delivered with the required information
- Review initial project scope to ensure required equipment and materials are properly specified and accounted for
- Manage & track project budgets, provide accurate forecasting and reporting to internal stakeholders including finance
- Manage the change order process with the customer and internal stakeholders
- Remotely project manage the installation of digital electrical, gas, and water meters, and related equipment, communicating with field contractors via phone and email
- Coordinate with project engineers, hardware engineers, and other internal and external teams to ensure project milestones are met on time and within scope
- Use project management tools to update progress, resolve issues, and generate tasks for outstanding items ensuring they are followed through to completion
- Work with project engineers, hardware engineers and project managers to ensure installation has reached completion
- Complete equipment setup by properly allocating sensor data using cloud based software
- Identify, troubleshoot and resolve installation-related issues remotely or guide team on site with clear instructions
- Use software tools to configure and verify device settings for optimal performance
- Perform remote quality assurance (QA) checks on new installations, including data integrity and equipment setup
- Regularly communicate project status, progress, and updates to internal stakeholders, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines
- Serve as the main point of contact for customers during project execution, providing timely updates, addressing concerns, and ensuring high satisfaction with the installation process
- Analyze existing workflows and processes to identify inefficiencies and propose innovative solutions to optimize operations.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve project management and installation methods to improve delivery timelines, quality, and cost.
- Leverage prior experience to introduce best practices and new tools that enhance the customer experience
- Collaborate with internal teams to refine SOPs, making them more effective and easier to follow for long-term use.
- Stay informed on industry trends and technologies to proactively suggest improvements to hardware systems and processes
- Act as a thought leader by presenting ideas that challenge the status quo and elevate the team's capabilities
- Conduct post-delivery analysis to identify recurring issues and drive initiatives to reduce their frequency or eliminate them entirely
- Document current processes, identify inefficiencies in project workflows and recommend improvements to streamline operations
- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills to effectively liaise with clients and internal teams
- Ability to build rapport with customer contacts, maintain relationships over time, and handle challenging situations with professionalism
- Customer-centric approach with a delta-oriented mindset and a focus on delivering high-quality execution
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- Have at least one of the following certifications, or similar: Project Management Professional (PMP), Construction Project Management (CPMC), Certified Construction Manager (CCM)
- 4 years of experience in project managing construction, smart IoT equipment installation and commissioning, or managing building operations with smart IoT building systems
- Experience in fieldwork and an understanding of metering infrastructure are desirable
- Strong background in utility metering systems (electric, water, gas) is highly preferred
- Experience working with ticketing systems (e.g., Zendesk, Zoho Desk) and managing maintenance workflows
- Data-driven mindset with a natural focus on analyzing and improving processes
- Ability to effectively juggle multiple competing priorities
