Job DescriptionWe are looking for a delivery focused Information Security Consultant to continuously improve the design of our IT Security tools, Endpoint Protection, Network Security, Log collection and analysis, and related technologies, which are key for the Eurofins Security Operations. The individual will be involved in championing new extensions to the monitoring & detection environment and will be involved in re-building initiatives for existing components. This is a hands-on role that requires can-do attitude to establish close collaboration with the operations/infrastructure/project teams.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage the continuous improvement of the existing endpoint security solutions, and log collection and treatment tools, in accordance with the relevant internal policies.
- Development, maintenance and troubleshooting of these solutions.
- Managing policies and software deployment for these solutions.
- Hands-on experience with configuring and troubleshooting one of the most crucial elements of the Eurofins global IT.
- Project approach to resolving technical problems. Troubleshoot occurring issues, getting to the root causes and supporting resolution of the issues found.
- Technical support for Priority 1 incidents, contributing to resolving the performance issues associated with these solutions.
To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements below are representative of the knowledge, skill or ability required.
- 5-10 years of experience in IT Security or Infrastructure and Operations.
- Experience with End Point Protection, Endpoint Detection and Response, Secure Web Gateway Service, DNS Layer Security Service.
- Experience with SIEM and SOAR, CRIBL technologies.
- Prior strong experience with endpoint protection solutions from Product Owner or Administrator perspective.
- Technically solid in corporate and enterprise scale of infrastructure implementation.
- Proven experience of acting as the expert in infrastructure/operations/project teams.
- Global company experience (enterprise grade).
- Team player.
- Detail oriented.
- Excellent communication with technical leaders.
- Systems Thinking - the ability to see how parts interact with the whole (big picture thinking).

Purpose

Position Overview:Seasoned Sr. IT Security Engineer orchestrating comprehensive security strategies, implementing robust measures, performing audits, and leading initiatives to fortify systems and mitigate risks against evolving cyber threats.
Responsibilities- Analyze and report organizational and system security posture and design architecture and frameworks.
- Assess adequate access controls based on principles of least privilege and need-to-know and the effectiveness of security controls.
- Assess all the configuration management (change configuration/release management) processes.
- Ensure all systems’ security operations and maintenance activities are properly documented and updated as necessary.
- Ensure cybersecurity-enabled products or other compensating security control technologies reduce identified risk to an acceptable level.
- Implement system security measures in accordance with established procedures to ensure confidentiality, integrity, availability, authentication, and non-repudiation.
- Mitigate or correct security deficiencies identified during security/certification testing and/or recommend risk acceptance for the appropriate senior leader or authorized representative.
- Perform security reviews, identify gaps in security architecture, implement security measures to resolve vulnerabilities, mitigate risks, help develop a security risk management plan, and recommend security changes to systems as needed.
- Properly document all systems security implementation, operations, and maintenance activities and update as necessary.
- Provide cybersecurity recommendations to leadership based on significant threats and vulnerabilities.
- Verify and update security documentation reflecting the application/system security design features.
- Verify minimum security requirements are in place for all applications.
- Knowledge of business continuity and disaster recovery plans.
- Ability to serve as the primary liaison between the CISO organization, IT, and system owners.
- Knowledge of application firewall concepts and functions (e.g., authentication, audit, policy enforcement, message scanning, data loss prevention, SSL security, REST/JSON processing).
- Knowledge of network access, identity, and access management (e.g., PKI, OAuth, SAML, OpenID, SPML).
- Skill in assessing security controls based on cybersecurity principles and using network analysis tools to identify vulnerabilities.
- Knowledge of enterprise IT architecture concepts and patterns (e.g., baselines, validated design, target architectures).
- Experience managing Azure, O365, Active Directory, domain resolution, etc.
- Experience with Windows server solutions, including OS installation, domain configuration, and AD architecture.
- Knowledge of IT security principles and methods (firewalls, encryption, OSI model, etc.) and networking (TCP/IP, VPN, DHCP, etc.).
- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to develop cooperative working relationships across multiple areas.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related field.
- Advanced degree desirable.
- Security certifications such as CISSP, GIAC, or CompTIA Security+ preferred.

Tus proyectos
- Apoyar la monitorización de alertas e incidentes de seguridad y participar en actividades de respuesta a incidentes.
- Mantener y administrar herramientas de seguridad como firewalls, sistemas de detección de intrusos y soluciones antivirus.
- Realizar auditorías de seguridad y evaluaciones de vulnerabilidades para identificar riesgos y proponer estrategias de mitigación.
- Gestionar procesos de IAM, incluyendo provisión y retirada de accesos, así como revisiones periódicas.
- Administrar sistemas y herramientas de IAM asegurando el cumplimiento de políticas y estándares de seguridad.
- Colaborar con unidades de TI y áreas de negocio para resolver incidencias y solicitudes relacionadas con IAM.
- Mantener documentación actualizada sobre incidentes, procesos de IAM y políticas de seguridad.

Tu perfil
- Experiencia en soporte de operaciones de seguridad informática.
- Experiencia en sistemas y procesos de IAM.
- Conocimientos básicos de principios y prácticas de seguridad IT.
- Formación académica: Grado en Informática, Tecnologías de la Información o campo relacionado (o experiencia equivalente).
- Conocimiento de herramientas de seguridad como firewalls, IDS/IPS y antivirus.
- Conocimientos de metodologías y herramientas de evaluación de vulnerabilidades.
