Job Description:

Performs network services from network design through implementation, maintenance, and upgrading of existing networks. Analyzes design, specifications, and related documents. Performs general LAN/CAN/WAN administration. Schedules conversions and cutovers. Coordinates with all responsible users and sites to resolve network or system incidents. Translates business requirements into telecommunications (e.g., LAN, CAN, WAN, Voice and Video) requirements, designs and orders. Performs engineering analysis of telecommunications alternatives in support of strategic modernization efforts and telecommunications enhancement design for medium and large-scale telecommunication infrastructures. Assists telecommunications end users, telecommunications operations personnel, and telecommunications strategic program management with network interfaces.

Required: Cisco experience, NetApp experience, Ansible (Config Mgmt Tool), VMWare proficiency
Desired: Proficiency with Linux, RedHat, and/or scripting. Understanding Repos (e.g., setting up a RedHat Repo with Corp to get specialized network downloads)

The Level 3 Network Engineer shall possess the following capabilities:

• Optimize end-to-end system performance and dataflow management.
• Conduct data captures to obtain network performance information.
• Minimize network latency and maximize data throughput through design analysis and network performance monitoring tools.
• Provide input to the design of the organization's network and mission architecture.
• Design solutions, integrate, configure, deploy, test and provide ongoing maintenance for numerous types of network devices, interfaces and methodologies.
• Configure and optimize the network to connect various front-end and back-end components.
• Gather needed data to specify system/component performance and interface requirements
• Implement specific network solutions to support server requirements including load-balancing, VPNs, firewalls, Traffic Shaping, VoIP, GRE Tunneling, IPSec, IP Encryption, MoIP, and NAT where appropriate.
• Configure and maintain organization's network diagrams and accreditations.
• Oversee support to all network equipment.
• Develop designs of the organization's network and mission architecture to meet new partner requirements.
• Manage assigned tasks and guide junior Network Engineers.
• Integrate hardware and software to satisfy ISO 9000 and other DoD regulations.
• Resolve complex network problems, operate network analyzers, WAN test equipment and network simulators.
• Design modules representing traditional circuit-switched networks.
• Lead large efforts and installation projects of dynamic requirements and scale.
• Develop algorithms for models using networking and telecommunications technologies.

Qualifications:

• A Master's degree in a relevant field and 10 years of professional experience OR a Bachelor's degree and 12 years of relevant experience providing Network Engineering support.

Certifications Required:

• DoD 8570 compliance with IAT Level II certification.

Security Clearance: Active security clearance with appropriate polygraph required.

Pay Range: $225,000 - $260,000

• The Service Provider shall conduct preventive maintenance as required by IT Department.
• Assist in network-related activities such as performing pre and post-implementation testing, hardware acceptance test, user acceptance test and preventive maintenance of network devices;
• Monitor status of the network infrastructure using ISJ’s monitoring systems to maintain the availability and performance of network devices, services, and applications. Prepare reports such as periodic network performance monitoring including but not limited to evaluation of link utilization, response time, network device availability and utilization;
• The On-Site personnel must have an in-depth knowledge in the operations and management of the Cisco Catalyst, DNAC and ISE solutions. They should be able to generate and provide analysis using the aforesaid solutions and aid in the troubleshooting of any incidents.
• Coordinate with internal and external partners for service requests, incident escalations and resolutions. Network issues/outages should be immediately informed/escalated to Supervisors. Network outages includes LAN, WAN, IAS and other systems and services managed by the end user.
• Prepare Incident Reports to document network outages, root cause, resolutions, duration, and other information deemed necessary. Escalate the issues to IT Department and Telecommunications Service Providers.

• Must be at least a graduate of 4-year IT related course or degree program.
• Must have obtained at least forty (40) hours technical training related to computer networking within the last three (3) years
• Must have a minimum of one (1) year relevant work experience in providing first level network support for wired and/or wireless LAN
• Must have background in Cisco Network Device configuration, , basic Fortinet and/or Check Point Firewall configuration and management, VMware ESXi and vCenter configuration and management, Network Monitoring (e.g. Zabbix) and other IT Service Management Tools, and Physical Troubleshooting of Network Devices
• Must be trained and knowledgeable in the management and operations of the Cisco DNA Center and ISE solutions that will be deployed.

Job Title: Senior Network Engineer (Remote – U.S. Business Hours)

Project Summary:

We’re partnering with a major brand on a large-scale network deployment involving approximately 500 sites, running through the end of 2025. We’re seeking skilled and independent Senior Network Engineers to join a compact, high-performing team (3–4 members). This position is fully remote and will focus on providing real-time support for the installation and troubleshooting of network systems, mainly across hotel properties.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver remote technical support during the installation of Mikrotik gateways and other networking equipment.
• Coordinate with onsite installation teams, local service providers (LSPs), hotel staff, and the broader tech team.
• Troubleshoot escalated issues, address real-time configuration queries, and resolve network-related problems.
• Offer expert-level guidance on routers, switches, access points, and firewalls.
• Ensure smooth deployment and integration across various networking environments and hardware.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in network engineering with the ability to work autonomously after initial onboarding.
• Strong proficiency with Mikrotik equipment and working knowledge of at least one of the following:
• Ruckus, Cisco, Meraki, Aruba, Palo Alto, Nomadix, Antlabs, or Ubiquiti.
• Deep understanding of RADIUS protocol and core networking components, including SD-WAN, LAN/WAN/WLAN, and cloud infrastructures.
• Experience working in both public and private cloud environments.
• CCNP certification is an advantage.
• Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal.
• Comfortable engaging with clients and vendors via Zoom, phone, and email.
• Must be available during standard U.S. business hours (preferably in Eastern or Central Time Zones).
• LATAM-based candidates are welcome if they can fully align with U.S. time zone requirements.
