Propósito Del Cargo
El Mentor(a) de baile será responsable de guiar a los estudiantes en el desarrollo de competencias técnicas y artísticas en diversos géneros de danza, ballet, salsa bachata, merengue, porro, tango, danza urbana, danza árabe, entre otros. A través de un enfoque pedagógico innovador, el/la mentor/a proporcionará experiencias de aprendizaje que favorezcan tanto el crecimiento personal como técnico de los aprendices. Además, velará por el cuidado de la metodología establecida por la Escuela de Arte, asegurando la correcta ejecución de los procesos formativos y promoviendo la participación activa y significativa de los estudiantes en los cursos. El/la mentor/a también apoyará en la promoción de los programas y en actividades administrativas que contribuyan al desarrollo de la formación de los usuarios de Comfama.

- Formación académica: Minimo. Si no posee estos estudios formales, deberá contar con al menos 2 años consecutivos de formación en academias de baile reconocidas.
- Experiencia docente: Mínimo 2 años de experiencia como instructor(a) de baile en instituciones educativas o academias de renombre. (Ballet-Danza urbana, danza creativa, merengue-salsa)
- Experiencia técnica y/o laboral: Experiencia mínima de 1 año en el desarrollo de proyectos, gestión, liderazgo y participación en eventos, clausuras o muestras relacionadas con la danza. Además, haber participado en la creación de montajes coreográficos.
- Competencias:
- Actitud positiva, motivadora y dinámica, con capacidad para guiar y orientar aprendizajes significativos tanto técnicos como sociales.
- Habilidades pedagógicas alineadas con las propuestas de Educación para la Vida Comfama.
- Capacidad para trabajar con públicos de diferentes edades.
- Dominio de herramientas ofimáticas.
- Disposición para el aprendizaje continuo.

Responsibilities
- Promote trust and respect among associates.
- Create an environment that enables customers to feel welcome, important and appreciated by answering questions regarding products sold within the department and throughout the store.
- Gain and maintain knowledge of products sold within the departments and be able to respond to questions and make suggestions about products.
- Assist with monitoring and control supply expenses for the department.
- Assist with managing cash control, sales and cash items and records for the store.
- Manage the scheduling of Front-end associates to provide adequate department coverage.
- Assist store management in preparing the store/department budget, profit and loss reviews, and take appropriate action on all financial reports.
- Assist with creating and execute budgets and scheduling of labor in partnership with store management.
- Assist in the development and implementation of department action plans to achieve desired results.
- Collaborate with Front-end associates and promote teamwork.
- Display a positive attitude.
- Stay current with present, future, seasonal and special ads.
- Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines.
- Ensure proper temperatures in cases and coolers are maintained and temperature logs are maintained.
- Reinforce safety programs by complying with safety procedures and identify unsafe conditions and notify store management.
- Practice preventive maintenance by properly inspecting equipment and notify appropriate department or store manager of any items in need of repair.
- Notify management of customer or employee accidents.
- Report all safety risks or issues, and illegal activity, including: robbery, theft or fraud.
- Adhere to all local, state and federal laws, and company guidelines.
- Ability to work cooperatively in high paced and sometimes stressful environment.
- Ability to manage conflict in a reasonable, nonconfrontational and cooperative manner.
- Ability to act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
- Ability to follow directions and seek assistance when necessary to resolve customer and business issues.
- Provide support and assistance through direct interaction with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.

Responsibilities
- Support company health and wellness initiatives
- Understand and adhere to Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) regulations and the company's policies regarding the same
- Maintain a current national and/or state registration, certification, or license depending on state requirements
- Assist pharmacist in all responsibilities except those that require a pharmacist s professional judgement
- Provide a stellar customer experience while accurately and efficiently completing all steps of reception, data entry, adjudication, and product dispensing
- Support the continued coaching and training of clerks and/or technicians
- Compound medications according to state and any other regulations
- Perform post fill audits to verify prescription information matches computer records
- Support non-dispensing services through the use of various platforms, resources, and applications
- Complete the all aspects of CLIA-waived screenings consistent with state and federal law as well as company polices
- Provide any additional health and wellness services allowed by state and other regulatory bodies
- Comply with and reinforce all sanitation and safety regulations/guidelines/procedures and programs according to company, local, state, and federal health code regulations; identify unsafe conditions and notify store management
- Comply with local, state and federal regulations; report all illegal activity, including robbery, theft or fraud
- Must be able to perform the essential job functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation
Minimum
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must be 18 years of age
- Ability to handle highly confidential information
- Completion of national registration, certification or licensure
- Any previous comparable experience
- Any equivalent experience of a pharmacy technician

Camping Commitment Statement
As a follower of Jesus Christ and a minister of His Gospel, model a full understanding of Young Life’s ministry strategy and equip and lead a team of staff in providing excellent camping experiences for individuals to encounter Jesus Christ and know the truth of God’s love for them.
Mission & Authority
Through both continued training and direct experience, lead staff and prepare an environment where guests, staff, and volunteers are well cared for using the cornerstones of service, food, and systems. This is a role that oversees all of the Food Service Department; staff & development, buildings & equipment, administrative needs, and food & menu planning.
ESSENTIAL PREREQUISITES FOR ALL STAFF MEMBERS (FROM YOUNG LIFE’S BYLAWS – ARTICLE VII):
“Because of Young Life’s exclusive Christian purposes of evangelism and discipleship as set forth in its Articles of Incorporation and in these Bylaws, and to reflect what has always been and will continue to be the position of Young Life, specifically the Christian belief that each and every employee and volunteer of the corporation should minister as a servant of God with the primary responsibility of proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ and, as such, is an integral part of the Christian mission and ministry of the corporation, Young Life shall only employ individuals or enlist volunteer leaders who: (a) profess a belief in Jesus Christ as their personal Savior and Lord; and (b) subscribe to the statements and policies required of all Young Life staff, including the Young Life Statement of Faith. Therefore, employees and volunteers of Young Life, during working and nonworking hours, shall: (i) be ready, willing and able to fulfill such ministry functions as may be required by the organization; (ii) refrain from conduct and statements that detract from the biblical standards taught and supported by Young Life, and (iii) abide by all policies and practices of Young Life including, without limitation, those related to religious belief or ministry activities.”
Essential Duties
Spiritual Formation: Intentionally provide opportunities for staff to grow deeper in their relationship with Jesus.
- Participate in opportunities for growing deeper in your relationship with Jesus.
- With direction from supervisor, develop an annual personal spiritual growth plan.
- Foster an environment where department staff have opportunities for ongoing spiritual development, including execution of their personal spiritual growth plan.
- Establish a culture where the spiritual formation of Food Service volunteers is both a priority and responsibility for all members of the department.
- Establish a department posture of service that anticipates guest needs and responds with professionalism through intentional decisions and systems.
- Direct the planning, developing and evaluation of the menu according to the Young Life Food Service standards.
- Anticipate and execute guest needs/requests in order to partner with our groups; meeting their needs and developing an environment where guests are heard.
- Build relationships that reflect the character of God with guests, staff, vendors and neighbors to foster healthy community.
- Ensure department staff demonstrate the importance of their interpersonal relationships with guests, staff, vendors and neighbors and promote a healthy community.
- Cultivate interdepartmental staff relationships by building partnerships throughout the property.
- Manage with integrity the finances, people, buildings and equipment that have been entrusted to our ministry through Food Services.
- Develop and equip staff to participate in comprehensive stewardship of the Food Services Department.
- Maintain systems for inventory control over food, equipment and other budgeted items.
- Manage and lead the Food Services staff in food cost tracking procedures and awareness of food costs impact on camp fees and property budget.
- Cultivate an environment where volunteers feel valued both as contributors and as people.
- Identify and ensure the hiring of quality candidates both for staff positions and intern positions.
- Demonstrate a desire to grow through engagement in the Individual Development Plan process and participation in training and development opportunities.
- Foster department staff participation in the Individual Development Plan process as well as other training and development opportunities.
- Intentionally pursue opportunities in mission leadership, personal growth, and development.
- Establish and execute training for volunteers, work crew, summer staff, and camp staff with vision towards creating a pipeline for the mission.
- Perform yearly evaluations for those responsible for supervising and ensure those staff participation in their IDP process.
- Lead department staff in the execution of daily responsibilities with attention to the standards and metrics required for excellent camp operations.
- Demonstrate a commitment to uphold the Young Life Food Service Standards found in the Food Service Manual.
- Exemplify Young Life Standards in the way you conduct yourself with staff, guests, and volunteers.
- Must obtain ServeSafe Certification within 6 months unless already certified
- Attend yearly departmental training
- Participate in monthly divisional video conferences
- May be required to lift materials weighing 60 pounds waist high.
- May be exposed to cleaning chemicals when training staff in the proper cleaning methods.
- Administrative work, as well as an active role in the kitchen.

- Some college education preferred or experience from a professional culinary institute preferred
- Work experience in the food service industry preferred
- Experience training and leading teams
- Demonstrate understanding of Young Life ministry, strategy and mission
- Experience in organizing and prioritizing tasks
- Experience in managing the administrative aspects of the Food Service department.
- Demonstrate professionalism in written and verbal communication with guests, vendors and staff
Job Specific Working Conditions
About Food Service Manager III position at Trail West Lodge:
- Family Camp operations at Trail West are unlike anything else in Young Life camping. Our guests are often high-capacity, influential leaders with high expectations for food quality, variety, and service. We frequently serve multiple meals in multiple locations at the same time, with kid-friendly options available at most services. That means the Food Service Manager gets to craft and execute a weekly menu tailored specifically to our guest profile rather than following a more standard national menu.
- Trail West Lodge exists to provide guests with the most meaningful family vacation ever. The Trail West team is looking for high capacity and fun-seeking ministers of the gospel who desire to serve on camp staff. As a staff at Trail West Lodge we prioritize professional, personal and spiritual development for all team members & we are committed to providing a high level of hospitality to all our guests.
- As Young Life's only nationally run family camp, we host families from all over the country during the summer, with facilities and programs designed to invite guests into a deeper relationship with Jesus and greater involvement with the Mission of Young Life. During the spring and fall, we host Christian retreats and conferences from churches and para-church organizations. We are a seasonal operation, open from March - November and using the winter months as project season.
- Trail West is located just outside of in Buena Vista, Colorado. Though Buena Vista is a small town, it has all of your necessities and a lot of outdoor activities to explore.
- This position has an anticipated salary range of $48,308 - $72,616 per year based on education and relevant experience.
- This position is eligible for Young Life’s Cost of Living Adjustment (COLA). This is a geographically based pay adjustment meant to compensate staff for residing in an area that is more expensive than the national average. In Buena Vista, COLA is at 7%.
- In addition to the COLA, this position is eligible for a monthly housing stipend.
- This position is eligible for Young Life benefits.
Young Life is a relational ministry. Staff must be able to convey a sense of Christ-like hospitality and concern for guests and staff. Responding to the unexpected needs of a guest in a prompt and professional manner is important. All staff members are expected to represent Young Life positively and professionally within the community and be able to work with and minister to the volunteer high school and college-age young people who attend our camp. Forest Lawn’s Planning Advisors (Outside Sales Representatives) help families make important decisions ahead of time rather than having to make them when a death occurs.
